It's coming close to Paris, London, Milan and New York's Fashion Week and I'm very excited. I'm not going to any of the fashion weeks or anything but I'm excited to blog about them. I've never really took that much interest in any of the fashion weeks before but last year I was really into blogging and reading blogs about them, that really gave me an insight into the fashion world I've never had before. So, expect every day blogging from me from the start!
So carrying on with the Fashion Week theme and because I haven't really been posting anything particulary fashion-y lately, I've done a summery of my favourite's from all of last years Fashion Weeks.

I know I'm a bit late with the Christmas related post, but I've been really busy, and something is better than nothing, right?

So, I had an amazing Christmas, which was quite surprising as there's been a lot of commotion in my house recently, but everyone pulled together for Christmas Day.

I got some really nice presents including, a Wii and Wii Fit, money, lots of clothes, tickets to see Derren Brown and loads of bits and bobs. I'll probably take some pictures in the clothes at some point but for now I'll just post some pictures of my Christmas Day.

It was a really good day, probably my best christmas in a long time, and to add to the nice day I found out some great news! My Dad and Step-Mum are having a baby! Another sister or brother for me then! aha, soo excited for it.

Right, enough about Christmas, that was so 5 days ago.
It's New Years Eve tomorrow and I'm quite looking forward to a new start. I know, 'New Year, New start' is just about the cheesiest thing possible but I really am going to try to start fresh.
2009, what a year, I've had some amazing times with friends and some difficult times at home, but overall I think it's been a pretty good year.
Here are some things that I have enjoyed, or have inspired me the most.

Music; The song that has inspired me most this year is Pixie Lott's cover of 'Use Somebody' (originally by Kings of Leon). It is such a beautiful song and when I heard it at the clothes show, along with some romantic ballet, i literally had goosebumps.
Fashion; The designer that has inspired me the most is Christophe Decarnin for Balmain. I know this is probably really predictable, for two reasons, for one, Balmain is my favourite designer brand, and secondly his designs have been everywhere this year. I suppose this just proves how amazing Decarnin really is!
Film; My two favourite films this year were, '500 days of Summer' and 'Where The Wild Things Are'!

People; Someone that has caught my eye this year is Zooey Deschanel, since seeing her first in 500 Days Of Summer, not realising of course that she was in Elf too, I've been slightly obsessed with her. She is beautiful, an amazing actress and singer and a style icon.
Family; The most exciting thing I've done with my family this year is go to Thailand. It was the best experience ever and I had loads of fun! I'm sure I'll remember it for years.
Another thing is when I found out my Step-Mum was pregnant, this was only five days ago so pretty recent news. Best Christmas present ever!
Friends; I've met some amazing people this year and had some brilliant times! Something I really enjoyed with friends this year is having a mini holiday to Wales with them, although it was raining most of the time it was such fun and all we did was laugh!

So, overall a pretty good year! Thanks to everyone who has followed/commented this year it's great support.

I haven't posted anything recently, i'm too busy. But heres an UPDATE. Well, it's DECEMBER and it has SNOWED. I am just amazed.. it never snows this close to christmas. So, I thought i'd put a few wintery shots up that i've taken, and some friends have taken, they aren't too good. I was too busy making snow angels! Well, I hope everyone is enjoying the snow, and has a brilliant christmas!!

Yeaaahh, so you've probably noticed I haven't been blogging much lately. It's so annoying, I start writing about something interesting and it turns out complete rubbish so I give up.

Agh, I cannot believe how soon Christmas is!

I went to get the tree last weekend and it looks so pretty. I notice how much of a perfectionist my Mum is at Christmas time especially, the tree has to be perfect. All the decorations match and there are no cheesy decorations or tinsel that you usually get on a Christmas tree (ha, no offense if your Christmas tree has tinsel and cheesy decor! I suppose that can also get you in the festive spirit!).

Soo, here are a few pictures my sister took of me, we got bored a couple of weeks back and thought we'd do a mini photoshoot. I was going to post them on here ages ago, but completely forgot.

Looking at these pictures makes me notice how small my top lip is. I swear I don't even have one.

I love Madonna in this new Dolce & Gabbana campaign.

I don't usually like her. I mean, over 50 and still wearing leotards, surely that's not good?!

Buttt, these are nice.

Basically, I went to clothes show live on Sunday, and it was AMAZING. I've been before, but this time it was the best ever. It was the 21st anniversary of Clothes Show Live, and I was in heaven. There were clothes everywhere, and gorgeous men! There was this new boy band called 'VICE' and they were reeeeally hot, and I even told them i fancied them. Hahaaa. But yeah, they are ones to look out for. If you are going, I hope you have the best time EVER. If you haven't been, GO GO GOOOO!

So, I haven't really been posting much lately. There isn't really a reason for this, just haven't got round to it. I'll try and post quite a bit this week..

I'm going to the Clothes Show Live on Wednesday and I'm reaaally excited. I went to Clothes Show London in June and it was so good, I bought loads. This time I've got more money so hopefully it should be even better than last time! Whilst on the Clothes Show website, I found Me&Yu a shop that is exhibiting at the Clothes Show, I'm definitely going to be buying something from them.

Basically whilst John and Edward were singing, he ran on stage with a pineapple on his head, imitating the annoying twins hair-cuts!

Friday was crazy! I went to see Arctic Monkeys, they were absolutely brilliant. I think I almost fainted when Alex Turner came on stage!

But, I was by myself like half the night! I lost all my friends and had to just party on by myself! Ha, was amazing anyway! I was covered in cider by the end of it, people just threw their cups, half full, in the air. After the concert we all stayed at my friend Ryan's house, which was really fun too.

So, yeah, overall a pretty hectic night.

Anyway, the other evening I was on the computer and realised I needed to do something a bit more productive with my evening. I mean, I love being on the computer, but I just felt like doing something abit less boring with my night. So I got out my Jack Wills Summer handbook and created this.

Yeaah, it's not amazing, but it is more creative than what I would have produced with the usual evening on facebook and msn, e.g. nothing.

If you get the chance to smell or buy 'Alien' by Thierry Mugler, DO. It actually smells AMAZING. I got a sample from a shop and it was the best ever. But now it's a decider between this perfume and 'Fierce' by Abercrombie&Fitch which is the nicest smell ever, makes my day. Which one will be on my christmas list?!

The red lips and black hair are back for the ultimate party season. Yeah, i know red lips have been in forever, but suddenly all the celebs are wearing their lips red. Also, they are all going for the really long lash. Cheryl Cole has done both, red lips and long lashes. I think this time she is actually on trend. Whereas normally she comes out on the X-Factor stage in some outrageous dresses, why would you do that on television? And then dress really nicely day-to-day. She's confusing!

Daul Kim, an extremely beautiful model and brilliant blogger, has passed away at aged twenty. It is unknown what she died of.

This girl wasn't your typical model, she had an amazing character too. It's a shock, definitely in a good way, when a model doesn't mind messing around and making a fool of themselves in pictures; it's such a shame to waste this talent.

Ahhh. I'm going to see Arctic Monkeys on Friday!

I am so excited. The Arctic Monkeys are BRILLIANT.
I think I'm going to really enjoy it, as long as they sing lots of their older songs as I think these are sooo much better!
Crying Lighting - lyrics in the title - is also really good and I like the new album but just I'm not sure about a couple of the songs.
So, yeah bring on I bet that you look good on the dancefloor, mardybum and When the sun goes down!

Okay, on a more fashion related note, here is an outfit I wore a week or so back, that I forgot to post.

Crop Top; Clothes Show London - Elegantly Waisted, I added the studs on myself. Skirt; H&M. Bracelets; Primark.

I'm not at all sure about the pictures, me trying to be a model (not so successfully) isn't a good look, but yeah you can see the outfit so it's all good.

So, I have a new favourite blog! MC's Closet.

The bloggers behind Mc's Closet are Maggie and Casey, two amazingly pretty 15 year olds from the United states. As promised I had a mini interview with them and here it is!

So, why did you create MC's Closet?

Casey and I (Maggie) have always loved the world of fashion. We wanted to help inspire others, and show them other sides to that glamorous world. We thought why not start a fashion blog?

And what about the name; how did you come up with that?

Our names start with MC (Maggie & Casey) and we wanted everyone to know our blog was about fashion which is how we came up with MCsCloset!
You always seem to look nice; where are your favourite places to buy your clothes?

Thank youuu! We love checking at H&M, thrift stores, and Urban Outfitters. Our one soft spot is LF, it's by far our favorite store, when we go in there it's like walking into heaven!

The one thing we both agree we can't live without is our leather jackets, black jeans, and loads of silver jewellery!

We try to be as simple as possible with our background and poses because we want people to focus on the clothes. We are hoping to get Nikon D60s but for now we're stuck with a Cannon and Olympus, the MACs come in handy for editing.

Well, when I was a small child, I used to have this little dark purple velvet dress, and I always was made to wear it to those little child gatherings/parties with bows in my hair. Yes, i did have a blonde bob and a block fringe. I always thought it was very embarrassing, but now I think about how cool I actually was since they are now BACK in fashion. WHY didn't i keep that purple dress?! Oh..but I was made to wear it with WHITE tights... Hmm, I never know how to react when I see what my mum made me wear back then... a LOT of it is quite shocking.

AND...I think I am definitely going to buy a SNOOD. It's such a brilliant idea. THANKYOU to whoever brought them back/invented them. I now loooove you.

My Wonderful World of Fashion by Nina Chakrabarti.

When I saw this book on Amazon I knew it was just for me.

'My Wonderful World of Fashion; A book for creating, drawing and dreaming' by Nina Chakrabarti is an illustrated fashion colouring book.

Okay, I may sound like a five year old - it is a colouring in book, right? - but when you look at the insides of this book, you'll know why I'm so excited to receive it in the post.

As well as these amazing colouring in tasks, Nina also tells the readers to make their own fashion items and gives them subtle fashion tips throughout. Making badges and decorating tops are just a few of these make do tasks.

So after seeing how amazing this book is, I decided to look at other works Nina Chakrabarti has done. There are lots of brands, including: Topshop, Marks & Spencers and Mazda, that have employed her to do some beautiful illustrations.

Here are a few of her recent works,

These amazing aboriginal inspired 'doodles', for I Want You Magazine, actually inspired me to do some magazine doodles of my own. I may post these later, if I actually think they're good enough.

So as you can see, this Central St. Martins student is truly amazing.

Bringing such a unique way of drawing to the world of art; she draws everything with such a passion.

Looking through the pictures of my holiday just makes me want to go back!

I did lots of things I've never done in Thailand, including riding an elephant! It was most probably the best holiday I've ever been on. Actually, scrap the 'most probably' bit, it was the best holiday I've been on!

Heey guys.

I'm back from my holiday to Thailand. I got back last night about 10pm and immediately fell asleep. Twelve hours on a plane made me mega tired.

But, yeah I'm up and have just spent half an hour checking everyone's blogs. You guys post so much! :)

My holiday was really good and I did loads of things I've never done before. I'll post some pictures from the holiday soon, along with me and my sister's outfit posts from every night there. Hopefully I can do this tommorow (I need my sister's camera), if not I'll just do it as soon as possible.

But, anyway it's the 1st of the month, so I've decided to post about the good things that I did in October.

October was good because;

I had the most amazing holiday ever. I'll definitely be going to Thailand again!
I got my hair cut into a fringe, much more of a style than my old haircut, which is good.
I got a new phone after 2 and a half years of having the same one!
Err, I can't think of any more, but it's been quite a good month.

But yeah, hopefully November will be as good as this month. I'm looking forward to bonfire night in a few days and to get my call from the lady at the fashion museum, for work experience.

'LV on my luggage' I was listening to my iPod in Starbucks the other day, and Louis Vuitton named in like, a couple of songs. Jay-Z, Kanye West and Wale all say the name in their songs. This is really random, but I was just like 'whaatt?! don't they normally rap about the goodlife?' But yeaah, well, at least they are spreading the luurrve for LV.

I don't know why i just really like this picture. Mark Ronson and some other lady, i don't know her name, apparently headed to another party after the opening of a Gucci Pop-Up Store, at nearby hotel with other guests. I didn't know Mark Ronson was involved in fashion?!

I have come to a conclusion, i now officially love Prada. Every time i buy a magazine I'm just waiting for PRADA to pop up with an amazing photograph. Well, Liv has now gone to Thailand and left me blogging on my own for ten days. But anyway, I think I'm going to post something, which isn't really anything to do with fashion. But, on Monday night, me and some friends went to go and see Calvin Harris and Mr Hudson live, and it was the best experience i have ever had. So i guess i will just do a quick post on Calvin Harris and Mr Hudson

Mr Hudson is definitely hotter in real life, I'm telling you, ;)

Calvin Harris, he is one crazy man, on stage he dances around like a loon. :)

But yeah, if you see their gig coming up, BUY TICKETS, it's AMAZING.

Sorry for the less frequent posts lately. I've been busy with school work and packing for my holiday.

I'm going to Phuket in Thailand tomorrow!! I'm sooo excited!

Anyway, as I've just finished packing, I thought I'd relate to my holiday and post some pictures of Thailand and Thailand fashion.

I most probably wont post while I'm on holiday, so bye for 10 days!

At first i thought, 'right, this has got to be some designer shop, where i will probably never enter because it has million dollar/pound clothes in, and can never afford that'. Yeah, the violins started playing in my head. But then i read about it, and i was just like 'YES'

Karl Lagerfield, you never fail to amaze me.

Just look at Chanel's Spring/Summer 2010 collection. I mean if the clothes weren't great enough, look at the runway!

It is amazing to have models actually smiling whilst walking down the runway. It just adds an extra beauty to the whole thing.

What do you think about the collection?

PS I'm liking that Blogspot now has colour options for the text, but can you get some better colours please Blogspot?

I mean, who decided to have fuschia in the colour scheme. That's almost as bad as Comic Sans.

Cheesy Title, but it was that or 'WE ARE FAMILY, my brothers and my sisters and me!'
So, here my little sister Flo. She's 3 and the cutest little thing ever!
She may get on my nerves sometimes, but we are really close. Just today she did me a makeover! Lipstick all over my face is a greaaat look, one for Spring/Summer 2010 deffo. ha!

This is her modelling my sunglasses collection! She was about to go to bed here, so in her pyjamas and looking abit messy at the end of the day!

So, I'm a bit late on this, because I've been really busy, but you should still take a look!
Basically, I'm going to post my notes which I wrote whilst watching the collection - unfortunately not live because my internet decided to not work for that night!?
I will tell you what the notes actually mean as we're going along as I just scribbled everything in my mind down..

Naked woman background- At the beginning of the show the backdrop was a naked woman on a bed sheet.

Eary Music- Speaks for itself really.

Backdrop of audience spinning-I thought this was really cool. It was basically what the cameras filmed of the audience and it was spinning round..

HUGE SHOES!!(Next to little diagram of shoes) - They were humongous. I'm surprised someone didn't trip!

Scaley Prints (Alligator, Tiger, Fish) - These were the animals the print of the first dresses were. Beautiful, me thinks.

"Out of this world"- I just imagined the critics using this phrase. It really is true.

High Neck full body harem- This doesn't make sense, but basically, it's harem pants but with a top attached.

LOVE the lighter coloured dresses (Blue and Silver) - OOh, they're so nice!

Two words, bin liner- Hmm. This dress wasn't too nice. It's like a cut up bin liner.

Glittery silver make-up (extra terestrial) - No explination needed really.

Nipple dress not "ready to wear"- This is really not "ready to wear" as the collection was meant to be. Well, unless you like walking around with your nipple showing?!

Brilliant detailing- You could definately tell this is a designer collection, the detailing was amazing.

So overall it was a really good collection. I actually wasn't sure when I first looked but after watching the video, I thought it was really nice. Alexander McQueen did a great job.

When i first saw this photograph I didn't even know who it was, and then i realized it was Lily Allen. She looks really good! This photo shows her preforming at Chanel's catwalk spring/summer 2010.

When Lily Allen was on the cover of ELLE she looked great too, and the interview was good, she seems to be a really down to earth person. Anyways, that's it. I just thought i'd post this because i didn't even recognize her at first!

DIY; Floral High-waisted Skirt

Hello thurrr,
I spent all of Saturday making a skirt, I'm actually really pleased with it because I've never actually made any clothes before, I'll definitely keep doing it as it was a lot of fun, even if I did sew, unpick, sew, unpick, over and over!

I cut out my head because I am mega tired and look awful!

4 pieces you need to have this season to make your wardrobe complete.

1. The Velvet Body- Structured silhouettes are everywhere right now, so team the velvet body with a tulip shaped skirt, platforms and a clutch, and simple but amazing outfit.

2. The Body-con Dress- The LBD will always be in fashion, so to make the look, look new and improved with a biker jacket and a snood, and don't forget the lace-ups or the flat boots- this seasons way to make a 'chic impression'

3. The Embellished Trouser- Pick out an embellished piece which will last you all through the season, add a simple t-shirt and cross body bag. Simple but a cool look.

4. The Cropped Sequin Dress- Wear one of these under a sheer shirt to add sparkle and texture to your outfit.

Sorry i haven't been posting much.

But anyway, Paris fashion week has produced some of the best clothes for this season. Alber Elbaz sent down the runway some of the best designs i have ever seen. The runway was in a warehouse on the 'wrong' side of paris. It started with a parade of girls in Lanvin’s signature black dresses – asymmetric, one puffy shoulder accessorised with one matching glove, complete with frills and ruffles. The dresses turned into a tuxedo, a pleated one-shoulder jumpsuit, a tailored jacket with a fluid draped skirt.

The colours were simple, black, white and skin coloured.

The prettiest models were sent down the runway too, just as if they were born with the dresses on, they looked just perfect. The designs are brilliant, and makes you want to know what is he going to design for next season?

The world is full of Kings and Queens, Who blind your eyes and steal your dreams.

I love you more than I love cake.

Sorry, for my outburst there, but, it's true I'd much rather meet Christophe Decarnin than have a life time supply of cake. And for me, that's saying something!

I've been ill with laryngitis for the last couple of days, but Balmain's new collection has definitely cheered me up.

The collection still has the classic elements of Balmain, such as the sharp shoulder, the worn jeans and the studs, but this time round the collection has an almost army feel to it, I can see this being a big trend for spring 2010.

The balmain collection was amazing, and I can't wait for the clothing lookalikes to appear on the high street, I will be sure to keep my eye out for them.

Hey there fellow fashionistas.

Okay, that sounded very cheesy, but I didn't just want to say something boring like 'Hey'.

At the famous Claridges hotel this week Mulberry's S/s 2010 collection was showcased.
The balloon filled room, in which the collection was presented, reflected the collection brilliantly, being bright and playful just like the clothes.

The merry-go-round print shown also shown on invitations was used a lot in the collection. The dress below was one of my favourites, and the bag perfected the look.

Swept back crimped hair was used on all models to create a simple yet effective look.

The collection was bright and playful and using almost child-like prints definitely portrayed a more youthful presentation than last.

Wake me up, when September Ends.

Oh gosh. This month has gone sooo quick! It hasn't been an amazing month, but it's not been bad.
The best bits of my month have been;
- Starting Pretty Polaroid with Alice. Of course this had to be on the list, I'm so glad I actually started the blog, I've been wanting to start one for ages!
- Subscribing to Elle. I don't have to pay £3.60 every month now, woo!

- Starting textiles at school.
- Winning the first thing I've won in years! Okay, so it was only a DVD but I never win anything!
- And, Getting my braces off.

This is all I can think of! I've so not got a good memory.
Anyway, next months I can't wait to go see Jamie T in concert - if he's not ill!? Apparently hes got larynjitus at the moment and with 2 days until the concert, it's not good! - and to go to Thailand on holiday! Sooo.. enough about me, more about fashion!
